Welcome to Cascade Jungian, the website of Justin Hamacher, offering Jungian analysis, art-based courses, mentoring and Oregon state licensed psilocybin facilitation .
People arrive at Jungian analysis for a variety of reasons, a life difficulty, crossroads, challenges with human relationships, a sense of being stuck, curiosity around dreams and creativity, or a hunger to learn and explore Jungian topics.
Jungian work is about reclaiming one's narrative, through integration of unconscious and conscious aspects of the self. This work can help a person become more balanced and whole.
This place of health is termed individuation, which can be thought of as 'living life to one's truest state'. The goal of our work together is to move you toward a life lived in this truest state.
Working with a Jungian psychoanalyst can be a transformative system of support in a person's personal development and growth.
Together in a safe and trusting space, we can use analysis, conversation, story, Jungian techniques, imagination, imagery in healing, creativity and intuition to find ways to bring life into a more whole and authentic state.
Services Offered
Jungian Psychoanalysis
work together is designed to meet you where your psyche is at, and we may explore depth with talk, imagination, art and other expressive activities. I do my best to match your particular typology and individual needs.
Depth work takes both time and patience, but can lead to a deeper relationship with one’s authentic self.
I offer online analytic sessions with clients in 50 minute bookings.
Psilocybin Facilitation
m a licensed Oregon psilocybin facilitator and offer local psilocybin facilitation sessions and remote preparation and integration. Additionally my work as an analyst and artist has given me a deep familiarity with altered states of consciousness.
Psychedelics can be an incredibly rich source of unconscious symbols, emotions and potential openings, making the realm a natural match for the similar components of Jungian work.
Courses and Lectures
I regularly host courses, typically they will be centered around Jungian topics like dreams, archetypes, shamanism, introduction to analytical psychology, or ‘how to’ instruction on a technique or practice, and of course studio art groups.
My background as a full-time design professor at the University of Washington helps these offerings to be dynamic and engaging. I make a special effort to welcome newcomers to the space.
Coaching and Advising
addition to analysis, I offer less frequent Jungian coaching sessions and individualized artistic instruction and guidance. I’ve worked with clients to come up with remote artistic exercises and spaces for reflection as they travel and other creative activities. I welcome the creative challenge of helping someone find a container for their expression.
I’ve advised organizations like Pinterest on mental health/dreams and can customize an offering for a variety of different audiences.

“Your vision will become clear only when you can look into your own heart. Who looks outside, dreams; who looks inside, awakes..”
